Renewal

Spring is in full bloom and with the warmer breeze comes a sense of rebirth and renewal.

What once lay dormant is now alive with resplendent color. The endurance of a long winter with bitterly cold days is enough to make us doubt if spring would truly come, but then one tree starts to bud and then another until the landscape turns lush and green.

The season of spring is not only beautiful, but it is also a reminder of the faithfulness of our God. The same is true in the various seasons of our lives. When we walk through long and difficult seasons, we can’t help but yearn to be taken out of it. To go back when times were easier and the grass was greener.

However, the Lord’s plan for nature and for our lives is that we keep moving forward and for the renewal to come in our hearts and minds.

Colossians 3:10 tells us that if we have given our lives to Christ, then we have put on the new self and we are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of our Creator.

What a beautiful thing to know that He is a God of rebirth and renewal! Our Creator God is there with us in the hard seasons and it won’t be long before the grass turns green again.
