There are few things better than knowing that we are not alone in times of turmoil.
With the current state of affairs in this world, it’s not uncommon to feel afraid or discouraged. We fear not only our immediate situation but also what the future will hold for our children. If left to our own devices, we can start to spiral into an abyss of anxiety and worry.
BUT if we choose to stand on the promises of God, we can live in the assurance that we are not alone, because our great God is with us.
Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “The Lord is the One who will go before you. He will be with you; He will not leave or forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.”
When we take God at His Word, then we can truly step out in faith knowing that He goes before us. He is right beside us. He will never leave or forsake us. I don’t know about you, but I need that assurance in order to be bold as I attempt to live out my faith in such uncertain times.
When the worries of this world threaten to make us afraid or discouraged, we can stand with confidence knowing that we are not alone. For right there in front of us stands our Savior and He will never leave us.

April, what you have written is so timely. This is a continued confirmation for me. As we go through life and trials it is easy to “feel” like we might be forgotten. We must dig deep in God’s word and stand on our faith it our feelings. God has not forgotten us. He is holding our hands and even carrying us at times. I have been working on confidently believing and trusting God’s word, even when it is tempting to doubt and feel alone. We are not alone. When we are weak, He is strong. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
